Greetings, LAFEPA Members, Partners, and Colleagues,

It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as President of the Louisiana Association of Federal Education Program Administrators. Our theme this year, "250 Years of America: Building a Legacy of Opportunity for Every Student," reminds us that education remains one of the most powerful ways we can shape the future of our nation.

As educators, we know our work is not without challenges. Changing policies, limited resources, increasing accountability, and growing student needs often require us to do more with less. Yet, despite these obstacles, our commitment remains unwavering. We continue to adapt, advocate, collaborate, and find ways to ensure that every student has an opportunity to succeed.

As federal programs educators, we do more than lay the foundation for student success. We provide scaffolding, remove barriers, and build structures that enable every student to reach their full potential.

That is the heart of what we do, and it is what makes LAFEPA such an extraordinary organization. With more than 250 federal programs administrators across Louisiana, we represent a dedicated network of professionals committed to creating opportunities and making a difference in the lives of students.

I am incredibly grateful for our Executive Committee, Planning Committees, and sponsors who make our conferences possible. These conferences provide valuable professional learning and opportunities to connect with colleagues who share our challenges and passion for education.

As we move forward, I encourage each of you to become involved, share your ideas, and continue strengthening our organization. Our greatest strength has always been our members and the dedication each of you brings to the students and communities you serve.

Let us remember that a legacy is not simply what we leave behind, but what we build today for those who will follow. Our work may not always be easy or recognized, but it matters. Every barrier removed, every resource provided, and every opportunity created brings us one step closer to ensuring that every child has the chance to succeed.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside such passionate and dedicated educators. Together, we will continue to overcome challenges, create opportunities, and make a lasting difference.

We are building more than programs. We are building possibilities. We are building futures. We are building a legacy.
